THE DRAG BOG RULES AND GUIDELINES

2011 Rule Book
All classes will be subject to the following restrictions:
-All Safety gear must be worn.
- Exhaust exempt in all class. may run headers in any class.
-Must be naturally aspirated, Single Carb or Factory Fuel Injection (Outlaw class exempt-see class rules)
NO DRUGS OR ALCOHOL OF ANY KIND WILL BE TOLERATED!
IF YOU OR ANYONE IN YOUR PIT CREW OR PARTY IS FOUND WITH EITHER YOU WILL BE DISQUALIFIED AND ASKED TO LEAVE.
INSPECTIONS AND GENERAL SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:
*Drag Bog inspectors reserve the right to re-inspect any vehicle at any time.*
Violators of this rule may be asked to leave.
( Remember this is a family event !)
All vehicles must have visible hook ups front and rear to be used for pulling vehicles out of the pit. It is the driver’s responsibility to tell the track officials the proper hook up to their vehicle.
Batterymust be securely bolted in place. NO bungee cords. If the battery box is in the driver’s compartment it must also be in a non contusive battery box. Dry cell batteries excluded.
The Drag Bog encourages participants to take every precaution to promote safety for the racers and spectators. Increased safety equipment could include goggles, gloves, fire-suits, shields, fire extinguisher, neck braces, emergency shut offs, 5 point harness etc.
All vehicles must come to a slow speed after crossing the finish line. Failure to do so will result in disqualification for that run. A red light will also result in disqualification for that run. A 5mph speed limit in the pit and staging area is strictly enforced. No burnouts. Failure to comply will result in dismissal from race with all monies forfeited.

All drivers and passengers must sign The Drag Bog’s waiver before racing is allowed. The Drag Bog’s primary interests are to enhance safety for spectators and participants and to promote mud racing as a major sport. Please note however, that the Drag Bog makes no representations or express or implied warrantees that compliance with the rules as written or any addendums to those rules will guarantee against injury or death to spectators, participants, or damage to personal property. These rules and regulations constitute the minimum standards for competition and are intended as a guide for the conduct to the sport. The primary responsibility for safe condition and operation of mud racing vehicles in competition rests with the vehicle owner and driver. The promoter assumes major responsibility for the operation of a safe mud pit.
EVERYONE ASSOCIATED WITH THE SPORT MUST SHARE THE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE MUD RACE’S PROGRESS. MUD RACING IS A HIGH RISK ACTIVITY. THINK SAFETY FIRST!!!!!!
DRIVERS MEETING
All drivers and passengers MUST attend the drivers meeting which will be held 15 Minutes before race time. No vehicle may be started or running during this time. Any protests or concerns should be handled at this meeting. Any participant may have their entry fee refunded at anytime prior to the end of this meeting. Refunds for extreme circumstances will be considered on a per case basis and will be determined by the race director, chairman and Drag Bog committee.
General Class Rules
Tire Size: Max size for all class will be 44''
Cut tires: Cut tires will be allowed in Modified Stock, Super Modified , Pro Mod and Outlaw.
No Tractor tires.
Fuel types: Pump Gas or Racing fuel will be allowed in all Classes.
Alcohol fuel: Will be allowed in the Pro Mod and Outlaw class ONLY.
Nitrous OR NOS: Will be allowed in the Pro Mod and Outlaw class only. MUST wear a flame retardant suit. That means pants and jacket.
Roll Bars: Are required in Super Modified Pro Mod and Outlaw .They are recommended for all classes.
Safety Harness: A 4 point harness or greater will be required for Super Modified and Outlaw. OEM seatbelts NOT allowed.
Fire Extinguishers: Recommended in all Classes.
Passengers : Only in Stock and Mod Stock. No riders in any other class.
DRAG BOG CLASS QUALIFICATIONS
Any truck deemed to be Over kill - to have Excessive horse power for the class that they entered will be BUMPED up a class.
Any rules Violations will result in immediate Disqualification for that race day.
ATV Class
ATV’S will be run whenever applicable.
All riders must wear helmets, pants and shoes
NO NOS ALLOWED
Tether kill not required unless determined by The Drag Bog
STOCK
-Must have stock drive train.
-No motor swaps.
-Must have front bumper , rear bumper is optional.
-No aftermarket parts, must have factory distributer.
- Must have a bed, wood beds allowed.
- Aluminum intake allowed.
- Engines must pull 17lbs of vaccum.
- May run with out mufflers.
- may run headers.
MODIFIED STOCK
-3 Bolt on items allowed
-Complete full bodied vehicles (Wipers, windows, and lights)
-Factory Frame . No homemade frames.
- Body swaps allowed. (must remain in the same make lime chevy on chevy frame and must be a full size body and frame)
- Must have bed , wood beds allowed.
- May cut fender wells for tires if necessary.
- Must have front bumper , rear bumper is optional.
-Engine and Axles must remain in stock position
- May use Slapper bars or 2 links.
-Headers must exit under vehicle-open exhaust OK
- NO NOS OR ALCOHOL.
-Roll cage required on open topped vehicles ( Jeeps , Broncos and Blazers.etc)
-Electric water pump not counted as a bolt on item
-Motor Swaps OK (must remain in same engine family available in that year, make and model) See Enclosed Engine Chart
SUPER MODIFIED
-4 Bolt on items allowed
-Factory appearing full body vehicle
-Factory Frame . No homemade frames.
-Trimming allowed for clearance, inner fender wells are optional
- NO NOS OR ALCOHOL.
-Engine and axles must remain in stock position
-Engine and body swaps OK
-Must have all windows
- May use Slapper bars or 2 links .
- Roll cage required on all entrys for this class.
- Drive shaft loops. Must have 1 loop per drive shaft.

Pro Mod & OUTLAW
-Alcohol OK
-Must have body around driver
-Must have firewall if engine is in front of driver-Rear engine vehicles must have driver protection from harmonic dampener
-4 point or greater harness
-Must have fire extinguisher easily accessible to driver and pit crew
- Tires must be rubber.
-Rubber cuts and paddles are allowed
-Must have well marked master kill switch as well as a kill switch
- Aftermarket aluminum blocks are OK.
- Drive shaft loops . Must have 1 loop per drive shaft.
BOLT ON ITEMS
-Headers
-Carburetor/Holly projection (includes fuel pump)
-Aftermarket performance ignition or racing ignition system or points conversion i.e. -pertronix
-Ignition system defined as distributor, coil, and ignition module (one or all equals one bolt on) all OEM electronic ignitions are acceptable as long as it came with it
-Aluminum and aftermarket heads

ATV's Welcome
Drag Bog Track #’s
Every racer will have to purchase a track number. The Number stays with the driver that it is registered to.
The # shall be placed in 2 spots on each Truck.
One number shall be on the passenger side door/ glass area and the other on the side of the tailgate area.
The #’s shall be a minimum of 6’’ tall for the announcer to read and identify the racer. The Number must be a visible color like white or silver etc. that can be seen easily.
These will also be used to keep up with the point’s series for each class.
Track # fee shall be $10 paid to the track and the # shall remain on that driver for the remainder of the 2011 season.

Points Series is $5 extra per race . 100% of this is paid back at the end of the year.
The first pit crew gate money goes into your pot with your truck entry for your class.
100 % payback of all class entry's.
